# Cutting-edge research, scientific advances and innovation to feature at historic St Catz

Conference organisers from across the UK are vying to book their events into historic St Catherine’s College Oxford as dates become available.

Work is well under way at the historic Grade I listed college as it prepares to host its next series of conferences.

Medical topics, cutting-edge research, scientific advances and innovative developments will feature prominently.

Events will include The Collaborating Centre for Values-based Practice in Health and Social Care, the Oxford Surgical Innovation Conference, and Infection and Immunity in Children.

Also booked in are the Oxford Ophthalmological Congress and the Mental Health Nursing Research Conference.

St Catherine’s – known affectionately as St Catz – is the largest college within Oxford University. It teaches both undergraduate and graduate students.

While treasuring the traditional values of Oxford college life, St Catz is committed to evolving with today’s society. This is reflected in its motto ‘Nova et Vetera’: the new and the old.

Conference organisers [choose St Catz](https://www.catzconferences.com/conferences) for its state-of-the-art facilities, beautiful surroundings, central location, and its catering and accommodation.

The college’s iconic buildings, designed by Arne Jacobsen and completed in 1962, are considered a masterpiece of 20th century collegiate architecture.

Facilities include the Grade I listed hall, a range of flexible meeting spaces for up to 400 delegates, 230 en-suite bedrooms (full board for up to 250 delegates), a lounge and bar – all set in beautiful gardens bordered by meadows and parkland.

St Catz Head of Conferencing, Events and Accommodation Belinda Gardner said: “The college is also renowned for its excellent in-house catering and stunning banquet dinner options.

“Our hall team will ensure that your guests are made to feel truly welcome,” she added.
