Conference Accommodation Made Easy at St Catz

Whenever you attend a conference, the accommodation is more than a just a place to lay your head, it’s part of the experience. At St Catz, we believe that where you stay should enhance your visit and make you want to come back. Our conference accommodation does both. What’s more, we’re right in the heart of Oxford.

A Tranquil Setting, Steps from the Venue

Conference delegates staying at St Catz benefit from exceptional convenience. With up to 350 beds available during student holidays, most en-suite and all with full internet access, there’s no commute – your room is just a walk away from conference networking events. The surroundings are also ideal. Architectural Heritage Meets Modern Comfort

St Catz is not just convenient; it is a statement. The buildings were designed by the architect Arne Jacobsen and blend a forward- looking design with a respectful nod to Oxford’s historic heritage.

The college offers a wide range of venues which will accommodate everything from off-site meetings to a large conference. The Mary Sunley Suite, Arumugam Building, Quad Suites, among other spaces, are all equipped with audiovisual technology to ensure your ideas are given the platform they deserve.

              A New College

The University of Oxford allowed the establishment of a new college from the St Catherine’s Society during the mid-20th century.

The society attained collegiate status and became St Catherine’s College in 1962, under the leadership of historian Alan Bullock, who served as the college’s first Master. University Vice-Chancellor Bullock supported the establishment of an institution that would maintain the society’s principles of progressive thinking and inclusivity.

              Stress-Free Planning and Budget Management

Finding both venue and accommodation on the same campus simplifies logistics. With a range of room types –   including standard, en-suite and accessible options – there is flexibility for every delegate and every price point.

Our experienced conference team works with you to tailor the space, catering and support to your exact needs. This approach saves you time and effort, allowing full focus on the success of the event.

Dining, Networking and What Else Awaits?

St Catz delivers more than accommodation and meeting rooms. Dining is a highlight. Enjoy a hearty breakfast, lunch, or even a fine dining evening experience with food that complements the occasion and fuels ideas.

The welcoming communal areas are ideal for getting together to share thoughts and ideas on the conference. There are many break out areas available where delegates can workshop ideas and still feel part of the conference experience. The residential environment fosters collaboration in a way that hotel stays often can’t.

Linking Your Stay with Local Charm

Beyond the college bounds lies the historic city of Oxford. You’ll soon find that this home of the world’s most famous university is also a vibrant hub for the arts. Its ancient streets, historic buildings and rich cultural calendar are all on your doorstep. Staying at St Catz makes it easy to explore. Maybe an evening stroll through the Botanic Gardens, a visit to the Bodleian Library, or simply having a coffee while you soak up the atmosphere.

In Oxford we’re lucky to have great public transport links, and we’re only an hour or so from London, so getting here will be easy and trouble- free. You’ll arrive refreshed, relaxed and ready for anything your conference may provide.
