Conference Accommodation
Accommodation for up to 350 event guests
During vacations, the College offers accommodation to both our residential conference guests and, where we have availability, to independent bed and breakfast visitors.
Why stay overnight at St Catz?
Staying at St Catherine’s is a pleasure in itself and is a perfect accompaniment to any conference experience. We offer guests an ideal environment in which to relax and recharge, allowing them to make the most of their time with us.
Our light and airy study bedrooms help to ensure a great night’s sleep. Their large windows overlook the green of lawns, trees and open countryside, blurring the boundary between inside and outside.
Staying at the accommodation within the college offers unparalleled convenience for conference attendees. They can simply walk from their rooms to the conference venue, saving time and eliminating the need for additional transportation arrangements. This convenience allows guests to fully immerse themselves in the conference experience without the hassle of commuting.
When lodging overnight, guests also have greater opportunity to connect and network with other conference attendees. During meals or downtime, they can engage in informal discussions, build relationships, and exchange ideas. The shared accommodation environment fosters a sense of community, facilitating networking and the potential for collaborations beyond the conference itself.
How many event guests can stay with us?
We can accommodate around 350 delegates in total and rooms are serviced daily.
250 of our rooms have ensuite facilities, as well as wired and wireless internet access.
We also have a number of ‘standard’ rooms (with shared bathroom facilities) which can be used to supplement our accommodation at certain times of the year. We provide tea and coffee-making facilities, linen, towels and toiletries.
Hair dryers, Ethernet cables and adaptors can be hired/purchased from our Lodge.
What is the check-in process for event guests?
Check-in takes place from 2:00pm at our Lodge (which is manned 24/7 and is your first port of call for all queries or issues whilst on site – tel. +44 (0)1865 271700). Check-out is by 10:00am on the day of departure.
Travelling to St Catherine’s College
Please note that parking across the city is extremely limited and that parking is not generally available to guests at the College. Oxford has excellent public transport links to enable guests to travel into the city without use of a car.
Park and ride is the easiest way to get into Oxford by car. There are five park and ride sites located around Oxford’s ring road, with regular bus services to the city centre, and – from some car parks – to the hospitals. It is easy to use. You simply park your car and use a bus to get to your destination. Please note that separate charges apply for both the car park and bus journey. The Thornhill park and ride site is the most convenient in terms of bus stops near the College.

"A big thank you to the team at St Catz who were extremely helpful from the moment we arrived and we were very well looked after. We have had very good feedback for our event [and] also... the layout of the lecture theatre and associated rooms worked extremely well for us. Our compliments also to the Chef as the food was excellent."
